Lorna Siviter studied Illustration at the University of West England before taking a Masters Degree in Printmaking, which she passed with a Distinction.  Her work is mainly inspired by design and advertising from the fifties and sixties - particularly the film titles of Saul Bass and the graphic design of Paul Rand – cleverly adding her own contemporary twist.

Alongside her screen printing exhibitions Lorna has developed a successful track record in commissioned illustration, with an impressive customer list of household names, such as Elle Decoration, Prima Magazine and Redbook in the USA.

When illustrating Lorna chiefly works with Photoshop, as it allows her to manipulate the colour, text and pattern content of her own drawings. She then adds decorative embellishments to further personalise her images. Her printmaking is predominately in silk screen.

She draws great inspiration from popular culture and observations from everyday life, which she incorporates with flair and humour. Her love of colour is evident in her choice of vivacious colours
